HOORAY FOR ME! I finally have a fucking BLARRG like millions of other narcissistic idiots out there...

I will be filling it with all sorts of nonsense that I personally find amusing, disgusting, entertaining and most likely a little boring. I may even use it as a platform to subject you to my personal artwork, just like EVERY other miserable, aspiring artist out there in internet land. I can't guarantee that it will be an enjoyable experience for you - what I CAN guarantee is that it won't change the world in anyway shape or form.

In fact, I feel kinda sorry for you for stumbling onto this little speck on the World Wide Web, with millions of BLOGS and PORN WEBSITES vying for your precious time, you're wasting it here reading dopey shit. GO AWAY! Do something productive...make a sandwich, build a blanket fort, sit on the toilet and actually read a BOOK...Christ, do anything but hang around here.

That being said, if you have accidentally stumbled onto this site, feel free to poke around and make a comment or two if so inclined. Maybe I'll respond...or not, depends on my mood that day.

I look forward to wasting your time. -KEMO

Bernhardt Wall and Halloween • Part II

Part II of the Bernhardt Wall Halloween Postcard extravaganza is an example of his full color work.

Still creepy in their own way, but this time he tries to make them a little more romantic - because nothing says romance like holding hands and sitting on a creepy as hell Jack-o-Lantern.

...or awkwardly perched on a flying broom driven by a Satanic Cherub...

...OR trying to make yer move on yer lady friend while a possessed pumpkin from Hell, whispers to you from the bushes like a psychotic Cyrano de Bergerac.

All Hail Satan.

My Oma would have loved this one, she was Dutch, and we all know that Dutch children loved sitting on a split rail fence when making out.

I have no idea what the hell the meaning is with this image. I guess it was custom to pull on the tail of a black cat while sitting in a pumpkin to complete the Halloween ceremony.

For the record, the CUTE witches are the ones you need to worry about.

...I'm done with Berhardt...for now.

Bernhardt Wall and Halloween • Part I

In my ongoing quest to bore you with Vintage Halloween postcards fro the 'Good ol' Days', I'm presenting you a wonderful set of images from Bernhardt Wall. Bernhardt (December 30, 1872 - February 9, 1956) was called the postcard king with well over 5,000 designs to his credit.

These are a few of his early ones that I believe were created while he was at Valentine & Sons (but I could be wrong, so don't quote me). Based on the style of the art, I'd guess they were done in 1920ish...and I love the slightly disturbing vibe.

...more to come.

A Diabolical Hallowe'en

A delightfully wicked set of vintage Hallowe'en postcards from Raphael Tuck & Sons for your enjoyment.

Extremely rare and highly collectible if you can find them...unfortunately my 'collection' consists of swiping them from various sites on the interwebs. Once I find one (that I don't already have), I add it to one of my little digital folders on my computer and usually forget all about them until an opportunity like this presents itself and I get share them.

I'll dig up some more Hallowe'en Postcards and share them...
